How are mountain bike frames made

In the late eighteen hundreds the American military tried modifying bicycles to help infantryman cross rough terrain. Cycling continued experimenting and the first mountain bike was created in 1978 as the result. The popularity of mountain biking has grown ever since.

Mountain bikes are specially designed to perform on rough terrain. They have suspensions to help keeping the wheels in contact with the ground. Deep treaded tires for added traction and powerful disc brakes for safety. The core for mountain bikers is the small robust frame. It needs to be lightweight and highly durable. Today, I would like to introduce to you a video about how mountain bike frames are made.

Evaluation of bike frame materials

Materials of mountain bikes could be numerous. Traditionally, steel is used. However, with the development of material technology, many other materials has developed and replace steels such as Aluminum and carbon fiber.
